night life in Helana

Helena being the state capital, has a lot of very good restaurants to support the lobbyists.  Examples are:
The Silver Star Steak House  A five star restaurant with amazing steaks, seafood and a very nice full service bar with sandwiches, etc.   Probably the most expensive restaurant in Helena, but very worth it.  

The Bew House  This is a Heeney favorite with steaks, sandwiches, amazing beer cheese soup. Also a large offering of local beers as well as the well-known national flavors.  Can’t decide on your beer? Ask for a sample tray.  

On Broadway  Right downtown in a centuries old building.  Amazing light Italian meals, a full bar and THE BEST Chocolate Mousse Cake.  

The Mediterranean Grill   Another restaurant in the downtown area with food and ambience. Mediterranean, Greek, Middle Eastern style food, Vegetarian Friendly with Vegan Options.  

Lucas: Italian and Seafood with an extensive wine list. One of the best restaurants in town with a small, cozy atmosphere.  Be sure to get reservations a week or more in advance as walking in, isn’t likely.   

Bullman’s Pizza  A local pizza place with amazing thin crust brick fired oven pizza.  Take out is available.   

Steves Café.  A wonder restaurant for breakfast & brunch and is close to the lake.  Huckleberry pancakes are must when you go to this restaurant.    

Café Zydeco  A cajon café with Po Boys, Gumbo, wraps and Shrimp Grits.  Beignet donuts available daily with the all-day breakfasts. Maybe Willie Farrell could head over for the Crawfish Omelets!  

MacKenzie River Pizza. This is a statewide pizza chain that originated in Bozeman Montana. Delicious pizza, sandwiches and pasta.    

Benny’s Bistro. Another Heeney Favorite open for lunch and dinner.  Amazing well prepared food, and many times live piano music on the weekends.   

The Staggering Ox is a sandwich shop that offers and unique bread. They bake their bread in cans. It comes out with sides and a bottom with ridges on the sides from the cans. They then fill the cans with yummy ingredients to form your unique sandwich.   

Coffee   Helena is a coffee town. You can check out the local Fire Tower Coffee House, or the standard 3 Starbucks. Yes 3!!  We also have multiple coffee huts such as Florence Coffee in many location around town that features a huckleberry smoothie!  

Beer  Helena also offers numerous local breweries and we will cover this in email in the future.
