With the Rocky Mountains encasing Yellowstone and Glacier National Park, there is so much to do outside of barefooting. Here are a few items you want to consider when coming to the 2024 US Barefoot National Championship in Montana.
Bring a camera other than a cell phone for the parks because the scenery and animals are amazing in both places. A decent telephoto is nice to catch the critters. Bring layers to dress, including polar fleece/puffy and a light raincoat/windbreaker. Sweats or long pants to wear under shorts. A long sleeve shirt to wear over a short sleeve shirt. The daytime highs in Helena’s average high temperature should be in the mid to upper 80’s but can cool off to the low 50’s at night. If you go to the National Parks, the high could be in the 70s and the lows 40-below freezing.
Bring your 2024 US National clothing, which can be ordered online or picked up at the tournament. I am sporting an example in the photos.
Bring your hiking boots for the National Parks.
Bring a friend. Site seeing is always more fun in a group.
Don’t forget the discount on registering for the Nationals ends on May 31, 2024. You can sign up today at https://barefootnationals.com/registration
